Optiplex 745 Mini tower Graphics card

I have an optiplex 745 3.4GHz Pentium D dual core, 305 PSU, 3 GBs DDR2 RAM, 160Gb 7200 RPM SATA Hard DRIVE, Running windows 7 32 bit version.

What would be a good graphics card that would fit into the case and go well with the 305 PSU. I also belive that the graphics card has to be a 2.0 PCI, But i have read that updating to the latest BIOS on the optiplex 745 can allow for a 2.1 PCI graphics card. what would you guys commander. I would like to play games like dead island reptitud, GTA 4, combat arms, What would be the choice?

Just to explain a few things. Mini tower takes full height, single bracket video card, desktop and SFF take low profile. 400 watt minimum power supply for 7750 is huge overstatement - 7750 uses only 50 watt.

I noticed that this card is a 3.0 PCI. Will this card work. The Dell Optiplex 745 only has PCI Express 1.0a slots

PCI 3.0 is back compatible to 1.0, you loose some bandwith but not much performance overall.
From your links, MSI fits, Asus according to Amazon description may not, but according to newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121566 it does, look for card dimension, the length should not exceed 7,5 inches if it is dual width, amazon gave some strange numbers, that is all.

I dont i just though that it had to be a 2.0 PCI card. I will give the 7750 A go and see if it works on the optiplex 745. Thanks for all your help.

Just one more thing about the Power Color 7750 card. The cards dementions are 8 x 3 x 9.5 inches . Can ou tell me which if the one of this numbers is the lenght. You said i couldent be more than 7.5" in lenght right?

I bought the XFX 7750 card you recommand. I updated the BIOS to the lates version 2.6.6 and the graphics card installed with out a problem. the card was a good fit, and also my 305 Watt power suply is handling the card nicely. No crushes so far which is great. thank you for the great recommandation
