So thx to another question that someone answer in this page I found out about the nvidia GeForce GT 730 gpu. I found out that there is a GT 740 for just a little bit more with 1 more GB of ram. Is it worth the extra money and most importantly will it fit in the optiplex 755 (sff)? Thx for the help, I'm a bit new to this pc gaming stuff :)

Usually the best option. For ~500 (USD, GBP, or euro) you can get a pretty decent computer (more so in US than europe), so if you can wait until you have that much saved up you can definitely play any modern game (though at lower settings)

Use the integrated graphics until you can afford a real card then. Don't waste money on either the 730 or 740, you'll just end up complaining about performance and will eventually have to buy a real card anyway.

So long as the GT 740 model you picked is a "half-height" or "low profile" card it should work fine. Could you perhaps post a link to the card you were considering?

Quick edit: I do agree with basroil here though. The GT 740/GT 730 cards are not great performers.

That card is about 10x slower than the 750Ti, so it's about 5x as expensive in terms of dollars per performance!

Just wait a few more weeks until you can afford one. If you smoke or drink, now's the perfect time to quit, in two weeks you can afford the 750 no problem!

About 4 years ago a Core 2 Duo was an OK processor for low-/mid-range gaming. Most games these days almost require 3+ physical cores to even run properly. If you got a low-profile GPU you'd run smack into the CPU becoming a large bottleneck to performance.

Building a new computer would probably be the best suggestion. Wait patiently and build up some savings and determine how much you're willing to spend.

You can always pop over here and ask what would be recommended given the budget you've ended with.
