Hi guys,
I just want to build up a test-system for gaming. Before I buy a whole new pc I need to know what components are enough for my future setup. So I got an Optiplex 780 SFF and its pretty small. I want to ask you if its dangerous for my hardware if I change the psu of this pc with a Xilence 500w C. Also I want to put a GTX 1060 6GB in it to see how this works.
Is it a Problem that the case is open cause the psu & gpu dont fit in?

Thank you

I don't think it will damage it stick it in a nd try it and see heck it may work fine then it may not if not just shut down and remove the card

thing is them cards need 75w at the pci-e slot and you can see your board ''may'' have that 25w limit on it ???

if that's not there then it maybe down to dells proprietary bios having any support for these latest cards or offer a bios update that will support them

I just try to point these thing out before anyone buys any card for a prebuilt and they need to investigate the issues that may incur
