Hey guys, broke wannabe gamer here trying to figure out what my best option would be as far as a pre-built desktop that I can upgrade slightly to improve my gaming experience. I have finally narrowed it down to two choices I believe (unless you guys can provide a link to some better options around the same price).

The Optiplex:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-OptiPlex-790-MT-intel-Quad-Core-i5-2400-3-10-GHz-8GB-DDR3-Ram-DVDRW-NO-HDD-/272050066555?_trksid=p2349526.m2548.l4275

The HP Pro:

The prices are pretty much exactly the same once you figure in shipping. I have a pretty new HDD in my current piece of crap optiplex 780 sff, 1TB seagate, that I would use if I bought the optiplex with no HDD, but I wouldn't mind keeping it for small stupid tasks, or if a friend wants to use the computer while i'm playing games or something..

I also have a PNY GT730 (2GB GDDR3) that will go into either one I get, just until i get a few more paychecks and can by a new card (Probably GTX1050).

Now, to compare my two options..

-The processors are extremely close in performance
-The Optiplex comes with twice the RAM (I have 8GB in the old toaster, but not sure if I can transfer it over and I'm not home right now so I can't check the detailed specs of the RAM that's in there.) So if I buy the HP i'd possibly end up buying at least 4 more GB also.
-The HP also comes with a 1 year warranty and, like I mentioned before, a HDD/OS so I could still use my current computer.

I'm sure there are other differences that I haven't noticed, or did not mention. Check the links out if you guys don't mind, and imagine you were the poor broke bastard who was forced to choose between these two as a start for a cheap temporary gaming PC. Which would you go with? Keep in mind compatibility with the GT 730.. i'd like to be able to play right away for the next few weeks while I save up for a better card. Also, of course, if you guys know of (or can find) something in the same price range that you consider to be a better deal, shoot me the links to those please.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to your advice and suggestions!

*ALSO* neither one of the links I provided gives detailed specs on the PSU. Is it safe to assume that, before I get a GTX1050, I will need to replace the Power Supply in either one that I choose to go with??
