Optiplex GX620 Ram problems

hi. I am currently using an optiplex gx620 with a Pentium D and 2 2 gb sticks of ddr2 ram. I have 4 ram slots on my Optiplex but i can only currently use 2. every time I try to put ram in the 2 non working slots my motherboard starts to beep on start up. Can someone help me figure out whats wrong with it?

Well, I hate to break it to you but the problem is your system supports upto 4GB of memory only. Actually, you are lucky that 2GB modules are working as per the specs it supports only upto 1GB per slot. That's the reason why you haven't been able to install more memory. It's time for a new DDR4 system I believe
