Yes you can, the type of Memory used by the Motherboard does not mean you are limited to that kind of Video Memory on your Graphics Card, a HBM, GDDR5, DDR3, etc will all work fine on that Motherboard. Hope this helps

Yes you can, but I would rather stay clear of 3 gb version of 1060.Either get 6 gb version, or look for rx 480 or 570.
