Question Orange Ram Light on mobo after taking out ram an putting it back in

I did a thermal paste change on the pc it turned on but had no display and orange ram light, tried taking the ram out and putting it back in and it worked fine for 2 startups but after it gave me the orange light again. (physically the ram looks fine, i definitely have them seated correctly and it worked fine before the thermal paste change). The weirdest part is that it works for one or two startups.

Take an eraser and clean the gold contacts on the stick(s) of ram. Wipe the eraser lint off and then reseat the stick(s) of ram. you might want to try and drain the system of any residual power as well. DO so by powering down the system, turn off the wall outlet and press and hold down the power button on your PC for 30seconds. See if that helps.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:

Ram:
SSD/HDD:

PSU:
Chassis:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

How much thermal paste did you apply? Take a picture and pass in along for us to see.
