• Happy holidays, folks! Thanks to each and every one of you for being part of the Tom's Hardware community!

Ordered ADATA XPG 960GB SSD, received a 2TB 2.5" SSD.

depend, you want a good faster ssd or crap bigger ssd?
LoL...I still getting a PCIe SSD for this build.

But I still could use it for another build where capacity is more important than speed.

I was just wondering about going to the hassle of contacting them and waiting for a refund or replacement.
Or if ADATA cares that the one I got cost like $90 more than what I paid.

Well....the ethical thing to do is to toss it their way, and let them decide how they want to handle it.

If they want to shrug their shoulders and say "Oops!" and let you keep it, that puts you in the clear....and this is the most likely outcome.

If they want it back to correct the issue--at their cost--then you have lost nothing, and you get what you paid for fairly. They are more likely to just send you the item you ordered, according to my past experience.

If you are getting an NVMe M.2 PCIe for the boot drive, just keep it for the Storage / Back up drive. They will have to eat their mistake.
