I just finished building my pc and accidentally bought the disc version instead of usb and i have nowhere to put the disc. Could i buy a digital code and use that to install the os on a brand new built pc that has never been used? Or would i have to buy the usb? Also im guessing there is no way to download the disc onto a usb is there?

You *might* be able to copy all of the files from the DVD to a USB flash drive and then proceed with the installation of Windows, but I would just download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft and then the Windows 10 iso corresponding to what dvd you purchased (Home, Professional, etc.). The USB flash drive should be at least 8GB in size and empty (or if you don't care if it gets erased, you can use one you already have).

If you have the product code for Windows 10 (disc version), you can download Windows 10 direct from Microsoft onto a USB flash drive. Just make sure it's the exact same version of Windows 10. If your DVD version is Windows 10 Home 32-bit, Download that version from Microsoft. During the installation, when it asks for the Product Key, use the key that came with the Windows DVD version.

You can create usb stick using Microsoft media creation tool at anytime from any computer.

All you need is windows pc, media creation tool from Microsoft's website. It will allow you to download win10 and setup an usb stick.

When the dvd comes use the serial it comes with to activate.
