[SOLVED] Ordering my rig to last for years, from Avadirect

So...last computer I bought was about 5 years ago..always bought HP.. but trying something different this time.. going to retire soon and wanted a PC to last me for quite a few years. I anticipate doing gaming and V/R.. I still need to select a monitor (would perhaps like to try widescreen at 1440)..

Does this look reasonable? Also, is memory speed of 3600 mhz stable/able to be achieved?

The problem with dishing out this much cash for a PC is that you get used to the performance and you're going to want to upgrade long before you really want to finance an upgrade. I'd say, unless you're ready to drop a couple grand every two to three years into maintaining system performance, you will probably want to cut your budget in half.

On the other hand, if you are ready to drop that much cash on a regular basis, then I don't see any issues. DDR4-3600 should be stable with XMP enabled.

I would agree for just gaming I would scale that back a good bit. You mainly picked the most expensive parts offered.

I don't think that cooler is really adequate for a 10900K.

Hi,

If you haven't already bought the parts, I would highly recommend waiting another month or 2. Nvidia and AMD are releasing new GPUs that should be significantly faster than the RTX 2080 ti.

If you can wait, it should be worth it.

In any case, very nice computer build.

It's a good point.. I know it's probably not valid but was thinking if i get this then it will last for awhile..i tend to keep my PCs 5 or 6 years.. was hoping possibly to do VR games..and..maybe even work on trying to create a video game or work with a team on it.. it is a lot of money though and thanks for the congrats..23 months and counting lol
