Orico 3559NAS with Gig Ethernet port - help required to get mapped/web access

Hi all,

Last year I bought an Orico gig-Ethernet port-enabled model 3559 NAS 5-bay storage array and tried to integrate it with a hotspot WLAN, but could not, so I gave up on it and moved on with other things.

Now, I need to get the NAS online and I have an ASUS repeater that has Ethernet ports that can work in integrating the storage system, but wouldn't you know it, I've lost all the documentation and I have repeatedly e-mailed Orico, but haven't received any responses back.

I'm looking for anyone who might have one of these devices to let me know what the systems IP address is, along with the "ID" and "PIN" that I need to use to get the B2B executable program to make contact over the network. I am surprised that Orico has tons of drivers and firmware updates, but absolutely no documentation or copies of programs. Fortunately, I found the mini-CD that had the B2B program on it, but without knowing the system ID that it's asking for, or the PIN, I have no idea how to get access to the box.

My little booklet says 192.168.167.1 ; username: admin ; password: 12345. I hope your drive transfer speeds between drives when used as 5 separate usb drives is better than mine. I drop down to usb2 speeds of around 22MBs. How disappointing... dan

Hi Dan - thanks! I will be in the office tomorrow morning and will try this out! I really appreciate your response and hope that my gig Ethernet upload/download speeds will be good enough to handle all the traffic I have. My NAS is configured as RAID 0, with five 3TB drives acting as one 15TB drive. No redundancy, but most of the data is backed up in other areas and the data on the storage device is "dynamic" rather than a static archive.

Hope it works out, one more thing. I found the problem with my slow transfer speeds. Who would have thought that the usb3 cable would have been the issue. After a lot of utilities work and swapping drives around with a docking station, I wondered about the cable. Swapping in another usb3 cable and my data transfers instantly tripled. The bad cable got the scissors treatment. Never experienced that before, dan...
