Hi, all. I recently picked up a 4-bay Orico docking bay for use as a hard drive hub, and was hoping to get some advice regarding setting it up.

I have two separate hard drives intended for storage. Both are 3.5”, Seagate brand and in good working order. One is 3tb and the other 5tb.

The docking station has a Clone mode and PC mode, which is what I have it set to. Sadly, on inserting both drives, neither show up on either Windows 10 or Linux. Furthermore, of the four main indicator lights, one drive is always red, whilst the other is blue. The dock is apparently capable of 6tb per slot, so there should be no problem, there. Formatting is NTFS.

Interestingly, when I take out one of the drives, whichever one that remains is then picked up and read by the computer. Both work separately, except when combined — even with one in the dock, and the other on its original power supply and USB cable!

The only thing I can think of, is perhaps some kind of conflict, but I’ve no idea how to go about fixing this. I’d be very grateful for any help provided. Thanks in advance,

I am having the same problem as yours, and Google Search has lead me here. I have two 2TB, and it's working fine, one day I picked up a 3TB Seagate, and added to the dock along with a 2TB WD and it was working fine for a while then suddenly one day it stopped working. Mine is a 2 bay docking station.

Now it's either just one 3TB or two 2TBs.
----------------------------------------------------
  1. One 3TB and one 2TB was working fine.
  2. Then one day, out of nowhere it just stopped working.
  3. Now it's either one 3TB or two 2TBs.
