Origin already running?

Since the most recent update for the origin client I haven't been able to access it at all. Whenever I try to open it it says "only one instance of origin can run at a time. Please check other windows accounts to see if Origin is running." I don't know why this would come up as this is a private and only has one account on it. I don't know whether or not there is a problem with the client or whether I have had my account hacked. I have also tried uninstalling the client and reinstalling but the process will not complete as it says that it is already open. Please help if you know anything about this.

 
It seems like your Origin client is running in the background without you knowing. You can fix this by going to Task Manager -> Processes -> Look for "origin.exe" (Should be in alphabetical order) -> Click on "origin.exe" -> Click on End Process. Now try launching your Origin Client.
