Origin Can't Detect Battlefield 3

I've bought battlefield 3 last month and my gaming pc was running windows 7 sp1 but yesterday I upgraded it to windows 8.1 but now a problem happen is that I cant play my game it shows that I need to re-download the whole game in order to play it and I don't even have sufficient data to download it my internet download data cap is 3GB a month and when I bought the game for the first time I somehow download the game update of 5.83GB through multiple SIMs but now if I require to re-download the whole game then I cannot do anything! So kindly help me out how to reload my games and play it without downloading anything.

If you still have all the game files from before the upgrade, copy them somewhere. Then delete all the corrupted battlefield files in your origin games folder. Start the download again from the beginning. After it starts to download the files, pause it. Go into the origin games folder and delete those downloaded files and replace it with your old battlefield files. After it has copied into that folder, resume the download. The installer will start to scan the games directory and pick up your files.

If your files have been corrupted or are missing files from the upgrade, you will have no choice but to either download the files through origin, or to get the files from someone else and transfer it to your computer via an external hard drive or something like that. Once you get the files just repeat the method above to install it without downloading it again
