Review Original Prusa XL Review: Huge Bed, Five Toolheads at Once

All those reviews from early adopters left a sour taste in my mouth, prusa used them as beta testers, unacceptable imo. Seems they felt the pinch from bambu labs ams and got it out the door before it was even finished.

Two comments. First, "A typical use case is using PLA with PETG supports, as the two materials refuse to stick to each other, resulting in exceptionally clean support removal." I can confirm this first hand. I was printing an object in PLA and ran out of it so I switched to PETG, slowed the print down to 20ms and heat up thinking that this might help it bind. Nope. When I removed the piece from the bed it separated.
Second comment about the gummy bears. Are they containing drugs in order to make you feel happy while you wait for what in 2024 is considered an extremely slow printer? :)

I had a chance to see a demo of the XL back in 2022, and even in that early state is was an awesome machine. The only design 'flaw' I can see is it's nearly impossible to full enclose/heat the chamber. I was eagerly waiting for its release, but then I got a Bambu X1 with the AMS and never looked back. Every so often I wish the X1 had a large print bed, but otherwise that thing is a dream.
