I was hooked onto the original UT in its heydays, and havent really
liked any other Unreal since. Has anyone made a UT demo on knoppix?
(not UT 2002, 2003 2004 or others).

Even better are there directions on how to put the full UT game on
knoppix? The full install was big but not bigger than a CD, so after
many packages are removed, it should work...

Will also be smashing for weekends at a college library or workplace
with high end machines, whose harddisks you wouldnt wanna touch.

I never heard of it. Nice idea :)

There are instructions on how to create your own Knoppix-like CD on
the Knoppix website. It shouldn't be too hard to remove, say,
OpenOffice.org and some other large programs, and replace them with
the UT demo. Perhaps a better starting point would be the XFCE LiveCD,
which is based on Knoppix but replaced the large KDE with the much
smaller XFCE desktop.
