Hello everyone I am new to messing with my computers software or anything for that matter. However I recently purchased an SSD at the request of a friend so that I load faster when playing games and logging into my computer.

Currently I want to move my OS and certain games that I play (LOL, Battle.net app, and battlefield) only to the SSD. How would I start the process and complete this without a headache and a possible loss of computer data.

thanks in advance.

Honestly you should have started with two partitions or disks. One for OS one for programs, files you care about etc.

But sure you can just make an install on the ssd and add the games. Only youll need to install all the other programs on your hdd with the install dir on the HDD but obviusly registred with the SSD OS.

I dont have the disk that came with the computer. would i be able to download the OS and burn it to another disk?

This depends:
What OS?
OEM or retail install?

I am running windows 7 and it came already installed when I got the computer.

You can try this:

But if it is an OEM install, it probably will not work. It will tell you to contact the manufacturer.
