OS Boot Drive not working for a Raid

I am trying to set up a mirror drive on two internal drives. I have a main internal SSD drive that I am using as my OS and boot drive. When I switched to the raid the OS couldn't be found and it said I needed to insert a boot drive. I decided to just wipe it and when I plug in the USB boot drive it isn't detected and I can't continue.

It is a USB Flashdrive.

How did you make the flashdrive bootable?
Which OS are you trying to install?

Windows 10 64 bit, I created the drive using the windows tool.

When you first turn on the pc, you should see a message that allows you to delect the boot option. It's an F key and the message appears at the same time as the option to enter the bios does. Can you select that option and then select the USB drive. You do need to have the USB drive plugged in already when you turn on the PC.
