Noob here. Just built a pc using an ASUS B85M-G motherboard and Intel Core i5 processor. All of the hardware seems to be working correctly, but I'm having problems installing Windows.
In an effort to save money, I downloaded Windows 7 from a less than reputable website. I burned the files to a DVD using my other computer. When I insert the DVD into the new PC, nothing happens. It goes straight to BIOS.
I've set it to boot from the DVD drive first, but nothing seems to work. I even tried an old Windows start-up disc and it booted fine, which makes me think there's something wrong with the download.
Any tips? I've been doing a lot of research the past couple weeks and this site has been the best. Any advice would be very appreciated! I certainly hope I didn't get ripped off.
