I'm using a crucial 250gb SSD for my OS and for a few choice games that I play constantly for quicker load times. A few days ago I noticed my load time on the OS was weird, it would usually turn on and (using windows 7) right before the logo would form, boom desktops there. But the last few days its taking between 1 - 2 mins to load depending on if its a cold boot or a restart.

Should I be looking into getting a new SSD? Is this sort of the warning sign that the SSD is dying or something?

I just can't think of anything that has changed over the last few days that would cause something like this.

My windows is up to date, I did a video card driver update, for honor came out and I loaded that up. I mean I've loaded plenty of games on this thing without it acting this way. Well any ideas or help would be appreciated, I just don't really know why its doing this.

I'm running Windows 7 and the only thing I have start on load up is CCleaner and Bitdefender.

Hmmm would a future update fix it probably and would you happen to know how often they roll out their updates? I have mine on auto update but did a manual check and update previously to make sure everything was set.

MS normally rolls out updates every Tuesday so depending on your update settings some may get through

I downloaded the tool. The tool told me that the ssd was in good health and that it also had a firmware update. I underwent the firmware update but nothing changed. But i'm still glad this was a thing, so I don't have to worry as much maybe.

I ran a full scan of my system after I got the update for the ssd from the crucial tool and nothing came up.

After bios. Before it would boot as soon as it hit the Windows 7 logo forming the 4 colors into one. Now it is a couple minutes after the Window 7 logo formulates.
