Hi,

So, just recently I have encountered a problem on my Windows 10 OS. My OS is unresponsive however, it boots with no problems whatsoever. I am able to log in but upon doing so I have an unresponsive OS. Not in the sense where I cannot do anything, but in the sense where core functionality of the OS doesn't seem to work. For example: I cannot go in to Settings. When I click on Chrome I am greeted with a white screen. When I try access Task Manager and hold CTRL ALT DEL I am greeted with a plain black screen?

What can I do?

Hi there Luke714,

Have you installed something recently? If so, you can try to restore your system to a previous point.
In case the issue persists, you can go to Resource Monitor and see if there's high usage of some of the components.

Also, you can:
- Test your RAM.
- Test your HDD. If there's something wrong with it, just back up the data stored on it: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Let me know how this goes,

I can't recall installing anything.
I have a Linux OS also installed on my HDD and that is working perfectly fine.

I shall test my RAM and keep you updated.

Hi, so I created a brand new user and everything is working once again. Does this mean the current user profile was corrupt?
