Hey Everyone,

Have tried a bunch of searches, but cannot find a solution, this morning when rebooting my, after it gets past the BIOS Screen, a blinking icon (top left) just hangs there. The HDD is detected in the Bios, but it will not load the OS, there is no error message (Boot Device, No OS) etc. Just the blinking icon.

So I powered everything down and put the HDD in another PC, the HDD is fully detected inside windows, all folders work, no disk errors, it has the Windows folder and everything.

I have tried all my SATA and power cables, I have tried taking everything out apart from bare essentials, I just cannot figure it out at all.

Any suggestions or help would be amazing, I will try and respond if someone suggests something that I have already tried.

Thanks
Aaron

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB - just a boot disc

see if start up repair fixes it
change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up repair - this will scan PC and maybe fix this - will ask for logon info

another fix is to check the boot files
change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose command prompt
We need to use the Bootrec.exe tool. Click on command prompt and type in the following commands, one after the other:
bootrec /RebuildBcd
bootrec /fixMbr
bootrec /fixboot
Exit

Now go ahead and reboot your system. In some cases you may need to run some additional commands.
bootsect /nt60 SYS or bootsect /nt60 ALL

another thing that sometimes works is just boot into safe mode:
boot from installer, on 2nd screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
PC will restart and load safe mode

if you get into safe mode, just restarting PC might be enough to get it to boot normally

So doing that sort of worked, however it now will only boot if the USB stick that i put the Windows Creation stuff on....

Any way to now fix it so i dont have to have this stick inserted!

Should i just cut my losses and install the OS on a new HDD?

Thanks for at least getting my back into my OS
