I have a new dell 8500 with 3 TB hard drive and 256 GB SSD. I want my OS to be on the SSD, but my OS flashdrive does not give me that option. It directly loads onto my "C" drive. I contacted Dell tech service and they informed me that was not possible????? Am I missing something??

Things are definitely mixed up.

Is your C: drive the 256GB ssd or the 3TB hard drive? The C: drive should be the ssd. It should also be the primary boot drive.

What is installed on your "OS flashdrive"? It should be a bootable USB flash drive that has a downloaded version of Microsoft Windows on it. It is used to install Windows to a hard drive or ssd.
