I just bought a new PC, It's working fine, but my OS is on my HDD, not on my SSD, so I'm going to give my friend my SSD so he can install a Win 7 Pro on it, and after that, he will return it to me. Will it boot win 7 pro, not the OS that I have on my HDD? should I experience any problem? do I need to install my motherboards driver again? My CDRom got rekt, that's why my friend is the one who's going to install an OS on my SSD.

Solution
Depends on the file type of the drivers. If they are .exe's, you won't need WinRar and can just double click on them. You could also slipstream the drivers into the Windows ISO before you create the bootable USB and then not have to worry about them later. It's not difficult, but a little time consuming. A good option if your one who likes to do frequent clean installs.

You need to do the install on your PC to make sure it will work without problems. You don't need a DVD drive, you can use the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft and make a bootable Windows USB stick using your friends PC and then boot from the USB on yours and install.

this is what i'm thinking right now, put an OS on my USB, download my motherboard driver from MSI, and put it also on my USB, plus winrar. so I will be able to extract it. then make USB/Flashdrive bootable, install OS on SSD, install winrar. extract drivers? where do I extract them?
