OSD Menu Pop-Up

Hi,

My Samsung Syncmaster 740n monitors OSD keeps popping up every now and then changing the brightness levels to high and auto adjusting the screen. The same happens if I touch the menu button, rendering it impossible to access the OSD Menu.

I tried locking the screen. The frequency has reduced but I still get the pop up - 'auto adjustment locked'.

I tried resetting the monitor by unplugging it and holding down the power button. The OSD does not appear now at all. Instead a small window with the RBG colors and message - Check signal cable keeps moving about the screen like a screensaver (Bouncing off the edges). Could it be my computer, since the OSD is not showing up now?

I plugged back in the monitor cable. the monitor reset but the OSD keeps malfunctioning!

Will I have to replace the monitor? Is there anything else I can try? Please let me know. Thanks.

Thanks for your input. I've had already read the thread before you've provided it here. According to that I think it's something to do with my computer and not my screen. Do you have any idea what to do if that's the case? I'll check out the video though. See if that helps. Thanks again!
