Hey guys -

This is my first post in the forums, but I've been reading it almost daily for a few months now. I was wondering if you guys could let me know of any of your favorite forums/discussion boards that you frequently visit regarding CPU's or any other hardware.

Thanks!

Well,if you look at my huge post per day then you probably realise that i stay mainly here.
I visit Anand and Xbit every now and then. Anand forums are full of AMD fanboys while Xbit needs more users to be comparable to THG.
There is also AMDzone, home to uber AMD fanboys and there is overclockers forum home to some respected AMD haters.
The difference beetwen THG and other sites is that here you have fun posting. Instead of playing games or sometimes even getting out for a real life game i stay here watching for any AMD bias and always trying to be helpfull.
Also, the THG site is by far the most reliable. On second place is xbit. Third anand though they did come up with nice reviews recently.
You should toggle between these three sites.

Well, here's my two cents. In these forums and unfortunately, its pretty much the same as all the other ones and that is, the AMD fans show their true colors.

The problem with that is, no matter what is said or how's it said, everything you say whether your for or against AMD, is somehow taken out of text and flamed. Nobody really sees or bothers to look at the whole picture therefore, opinions are very much one sided.

I read these forums just like others myself and its the same old thing, AMD vs. Intel, AMD vs. Intel, AMD vs. Intel Yada Yada Yada

The truth of the matter is and IMO, they are equal and one in the same for the most part. Its the little nitpicky stuff that one side flames the other for when the entire performance spectrum in its entirety, is extremely overlooked.

So, bottom line is and to answer your question, you will find a wealth of information here but it is usually AMD biased. Just so you know, I use AMD and Intel in my machines. There are however, the one group of people who truly do look at the entire spectrum and offer a wealth of information.

8O Oh well. Usually on forums i rarely get past the 2 post per day mark but this one is worth making an exception.
P.S. Piddy guy is paid or something? Posting 60 per day is more of a chore than fun.
So, AMD is using this lawless methods to get people buying their product!  (Jcking)

Repeat after me ... "I will read and consult Tom's Hardware Guide almost exclusively from now on ..."

Futuremark(formally madonion) xtremesystems because they just care about whats fastest. Anandtech is kinda boring. And of course I've been on THG in one way or another since about 01
