I just re installed windows on my main SSD and at first my 2nd HDD showed up however my new 4TB HDD didn't show up and so switched the cables around and plugged the cables into my drives one by one till my new HDD would show up but it didn't. Now none of my other HDD's show up anymore even when they're all plugged in. Only my SSD shows up.

I have 1 main SSD and 4 other internal HDD's. I only need the 2TB and the new 4TB HDD working, i haven't got the other 2 plugged in.

Solution
Cyclic redundancy check means that windows is unable to physically read/write to the hard drives. This usually means they went bad, or the file system went bad and needs to be reformatted. Plug one of them into another PC, to ensure they work right. If you get the same issue, you'll at least need to reformat the file system. Also, if they work in another PC, but not yours, it could possibly be a cabling issue, anything that would make the pc not able to read the drive(s)
I assume you have the ports turned on in your BIOS settings?

I have a hdd that is failing so Win 7 only "sees" the drive occasionally, hopefully this isn't your issue.

Starting simple, start your PC, enter BIOS and see if the hard drives are showing up in there. If they are, which they likely are, then your issue is simply a windows one.

In this case, first thing I'd try is going to 'disc management'. You can google how to do this, because it depends on your OS, how to get to it. Once in disk management, if you're drives are showing up there, you might simply be able to right click and 'mount' them.

Another thing to try, is to boot your pc into safe mode, open device manager, click tools at the top, show hidden devices. Then go through the list, specifically where the IDE section is, if you see multiple 'ghosted' hard drives listed, delete them all, and restart your computer.

My drives showed up in the BIOS, however when i go into disk management it tells me to initialize a disk before logical disk manager can access it. Then it gives me the option of MGR GPT, whatever i click it gives me an error saying "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)."

But i can still see the drives after the error message in the disk management window.

I finally found what the issue was. The power connector to my SSD wasn't properly connected, there was a small broken piece of plastic in the way. Now all my drives work and are detected.
