Other things will work but my mouse wont

Ok this has been happening for a while now I have an HP laptop and sometimes when Im playing games it overheats and when it turns back on my mouse wont work I tried may different ones (wired and wireless) but they don't work. I can plug in chargers and other things such as that and they work but any mouse will not work. I eventually comes back but soemtimes it takes a couple hours to a day. I connot wait that long everytime. PLEASE HELP I REALLY NEED SOME.

Cleaning the exhaust ports and fans may help with the overheating issue. Also make sure there is good air flow underneath the laptop.
