Out of box test boot with no stock cooler?

Im building a new rig today, but one of the things ive never done is a test boot of the mobo ram etc. Ive seen some videos that strongly suggest you should, the problem is the CPU doesnt come with a stock cooler, and ill be using a Krakan x52. How do i do a test boot without a cooler? Should i just install it into the case with the cooler?

You don't.
No CPU cooler gets you a few seconds before it overheats.

Wait until you have the CPU cooler.

I have the cooler, the question is is there a way to hook up the kraken with the mobo out of the case or is that just not a good idea

Yes, you can do it out of the case. A PITA, but you can do it.
