Question Out of range when booting

Hey fellas hope I’m in the right place. Just upgraded my gpu from a RX580 to a red devil rx 5700 xt. Installed the new card updated drivers. But when I boot the computer the monitor says out of range and then I can log in and do whatever. But when the monitor say out of range I cannot access the bios or safe mode or anything like that. Is it something simple that I am over looking? Or do I need to upgrade my monitor? Or something. Any feedback would help. Thanks a bunch

sorry for the waste of time post. Connected with display port and it works fine. My bad.
