out of the box but will not start

I have just taken the Acer Aspire E15 out of the box but it will not start. I have plugged it in for half an hour but all I get when I try to start it is a blue light flashing on and off next to the orange charging light.The screen remains blank. What can be done?

Plug in your charger to charge the battery first. See if that helps

1. Unplug your charger and remove your battery.
2. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds
3. Plug in the charger, put the battery back and power on the laptop.

If the above doesn't work, consider returning it and exchanging it for a working one.
