Out of video memory and close programs to prevent information loss errors

Hello,

When I try to play specific games (usually most demanding ones such as GTAV, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Battlefield 1) sometimes I get two errors:

CvZhSth.jpg

Sorry about different language in first error. It says something like "Close programs to prevent information loss. Your computer is low on memory. Save your files and close these programs: TsLGame".

My RAM memory stays below 80% when the error happens, but it's not always that the video memory error appears. Part of the times it's just the information loss one.

This is my gpu-z report: https://pastebin.com/Lj2znQtL

Specs:
- Windows 10 64 bits;
- i7 3770k
- DZ77ga-70k
- 12gb ram
- geforce GTX 1070, the G1 Gigabyte one

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for answering. I read about it in gaming forums but decided to ask here before trying anything. Should I disable the pagefile?

Absolutely not. That is extremely old information that doesn't apply in the same way to Windows versions Vista and later. It was an old trick for Windows XP and older.

Here's another example of the error happening:

RAM seems to be below 100%. VRAM is not at 100%, but close.

Could this be RAM-related too or is it simply the GPU's fault? Thing is the gpu is technically way beyond the required for those games, specially considering I could play those without the errors in an older gpu.

My system specs should be able to play games like that (GTAV, BF1, PUB) in low~medium graphics while I have a couple more stuff opened in my PC (such as teamspeak, chrome etc) in second monitor, shouldn't it? Am asking because this error DOES NOT happen if I close everything (including turning off second monitor) and set graphics to low.

Sometimes the VRAM error happens even if I'm not using extra VRAM besides the game (let's say, if I'm just using teamspeak and chrome).

I don't know. Doesn't seem like anyone else is interested in helping either. My fix-all solution is do a fresh installation of Windows 10 with the most recent media creation tool from the Microsoft website. If it still happens after that, then I would start thinking could be a broken GPU.

The only other thing I can think of is disable "game mode" and disable all that Xbox stuff like DVR and game bar. You can find these settings by clicking Start -> Settings -> Gaming.

Thanks again @SinxarKnightes

So... I decided to swap GPUs and see how the PC performed. I took out my 1070 and put a much weaker 660ti. The 660ti also gave the same error.

Could this still be RAM related even when memtest86 didn't show any error? Could this, by any chance, be CPU related?
