Outlast 2 will not run after purchase!

Just purchased outlast 2, and it will not run. When I open the game either through Steam, or launching from the shortcut, it opens up to a full screen black screen, then gives the error that "outlast has stopped working", and then if you hit close, the game closes. All of my other games work fine with no issues including Outlast 1. Apparently this is a somewhat common issue with Outlast 2 as there is some Steam threads out there with similar issues. Things I have tried -

1. Verified Integrity of game files via Steam.
2. Updated my graphics drivers.
3. Disabled the profile for Outlast 2 in my AMD graphics application.
4. Ran Steam as Administrator and launched game.
5. Found the win64 exe. and tried launching as Administrator.
6. Added "-32" to the launch settings in Steam-Properties-Set Launch Options.
7. Added "-windowed" to the launch settings in Steam-Properties-Set Launch Options.
8. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the game on the same hard drive, as well as different hard drive.
9. Updated my DirectX.
10. Disabled Firewall, not running any aftermarket antivirus software.


None of these make the game run for me and the same issue occurs. This is my specs bellow.

GPU - Radeon RX 480 8gb
AMD FX 8320
16 GB RAM
Window 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Any help would be much appreciated! I really want to play this game and not have to process a refund!

If you tried the forums thread solutions, did you contact the makers of the game for support?

After some further trouble shooting, I found the solution. I had MSI Afterburner application on my computer that was causing my issue. I never tweaked any of the settings on my card, so not sure what it was doing. I figured this out from launching the game right as my PC booted up, before any of those apps could launch on startup, and the game worked until that app loaded up.
