What is old school (DVI or VGA)? DVI is usually white and VGA is usually blue. No a splitter won't work unless you just want to always see the same thing on two of your monitors.

You just need an adapter for whatever 'old school' is to HDMI. Search for "VGA to HDMI" or "DVI to HDMI" on Amazon.

It's a VGA, so I guess an adapter would be the way to go.

However, if you look at the amazon reviews for the DP splitter, there are pictures of trading setups with different charts on 4 monitors ... so there is clearly an extension in effect, not just mirroring?
