Outlook 2007. My Gmail does not download into my Outlook 2007.

Hi,

My Gmail does not download into my Outlook 2007. My Comcast email downloads fine. Please advise.

Settings:
POP3
pop.gmail.com
smtp.gmail.com

Require logon using Secure Password Authentication

My outgoing server [smtp] requires authentication
Use same settings as my incoming server

Connect using LAN

Incoming server 995
Requires SSL
Outgoing server 587
Uses TLS

Log into your Gmail account.

Click the gear icon at the top right, then choose Settings.

Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP to bring up the POP and IMAP settings.

Click Enable IMAP.

Click Save Changes.

Change your outlook settings to IMAP.

My outlook 2007 has account settings for Comcast POP3 and Gmail POP3. Cannot change the Gmail POP3 to IMAP, which is grayed out. Please advise.

you will have to delete the old gmail profile from your outlook and set it up anew using the IMAP settings.
