I recently built a computer running Windows 7 Pro. I have installed Office home and business 2013. I have all my email accounts setup and working. Now I need to import my email from my old computer, running Outlook 2000.
I export my email folders as pst files in Outlook 2000, and it works perfectly. But when I try to import the pst file into Outlook 2013 I get the following error.
"The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error, if the problem persists, restart outlook"
I have tried restarting and doing the online repair, but nothing helps.
I then tried to export my inbox folder in outlook 2013, but I get the same error, so the problem is definitely with outlook 2013.
Also, outlook 2013 will not run in Windows 7, I have to run it in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2 or 3.
