Outlook express is working slowly

Hi!
Outlook express sends/receivs emails very slowly. I tried to send mails via gmail.com it sends normally. So it can't be uploading or something else problems. I try to send one line mail and it tooks hours to send. Any ideas how I can fix it ?

When OE falls over, there's very little you can do other than to go to Tools>Options>Maintenance and clear out the old messages you no longer need.

OE is no longer in use in the newer versions of Windows so sooner or later, you need to get used to something else and I recommend Thunderbird from Mozilla, the Firefox browser people.

You can easily export your mails and contacts into Thunderbird and it can handle larger file storage sizes than OE or Outlook. It's free of charge and you can find it at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/download
