You really haven't told us enough. Are they from known senders? Can you
read the subject? Is there a paperclip? At Tools | Options | Read is the
box to Read all messages in plain text checked?

Is the text displaying funny characters? It could be an encoding problem. Hard to guess by what you have provided in your post. Can you go into more detail?
