Hello, I've recently been experiencing super HIGH temperatures and i'm scared. I know there is a feature that shuts the PC down automatically when it expects to be in danger but I rather get it solved than get to that point.

Temps:

If you'd like me to use another program do comment below and i'm more than open to test it.

I don't remember when this exactly started but recently (2 weeks) I've been keep CPUID HWMonitor on 24/7 to see if it ever drops.

I turned my PC off for 24 hours to test the next day and the results went from
Start: 50C (lowest) - 58C (2 minutes later)
Open Google: 65C
Shortly after: 85C

As I add more programs, it's just rocketing higher. I understand it's normal because more programs = more cpu usage but going up to 100C is insane.

Sorry for the long post but i'm really happy for any information about this topic!

EDIT: Sorry for not listing specs!

CPU - I7-4770k 4GHz (Turbo)
GPU - GTX 1080 STRIX 1835 MHz
Cooling - Corsiar H60
Motherboard - MSI Z87 MPower Max
RAM - 16 GB DDR3-1866 Corsair Vengeance

If anything else is needed, do tell.

I recently thought this was the problem too, so I unscrewed it and remounted it. I can try to completely eliminate this variable by booting the pc without the cooler and seeing the difference if you'd like.

Is the pump working? Do you feel vibration? In my opinion, that radiator is too small for a 4th gen i7. I'd suggest going with a cryorig h5 aftermarket cpu cooler (if it will fit in your case) or at least a 240mm radiator, mounted in the front. Inside component heat generated tends to rise and exhaust out the top and rear case fans. This heat will flow through the radiator, sometimes having the adverse affect on your cpu temps. I'm not saying mounting your h60 in the front will improve thermals, as the surface area is too small (In my opinion), however if you were to get a larger corsair radiator, i'd suggest mounting it in the front. This way cool intake air can pass through the radiator, having a positive effect in cpu thermals.

I had gotten a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and my CPU is running beautifully now. Max I've seen the computer run now is 60 when i'm stressing it!

Thanks for all the advice!
