Over 90 degrees cpu temps

I have an ASUS GL503VM with a gtx 1060 6GB and an i7 7700hq 2.8ghz with 8gb RAM. Nearly all the time the fans are running hot and even when playing games like CS GO the temperatures can go over 90 degrees. Even now idling its sat around 81 degrees (using core temp to check my temps) I even took it to an asus store a while back and all they said was they cleaned out fans and changed thermal paste, yet this problem persists.

No idea why it is always this hot. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I should also add I dont use it that often for gaming. Plus it is under a year old.

EDIT: Ive just been playing csgo now and im getting below 60 fps quite regularly. No idea what the problem is.

I would have the fans, heatsinks, and thermal compound looked at again. 81 Celsius is way too high to idle at, even if you have a lot of processes/startup services running in the background.

Is the laptop on a hard, flat surface (desk, cooling tray, etc.)?

Yes its on a regular desk, I tried using a cooling tray but it really didn't make that noticeable a difference. I suppose getting it looked at is the only solution now.

Assuming things are clean and the compound looks good, then there may be a problem with the heatsinks or fans. Whoever checks it out, maybe suggest that they look for damages of any kind to the heat pipes, as that can affect the vapor inside and hinder cooling.

You say the fans are running hot, but are they speeding up? Was it running this hot before Asus re-did the thermal paste?
