Over a year of this

I'm not too sure about the category this would fall under, I'll gladly remake the thread if need be.

So, I have been dealing with this for over a year now, but it has gotten worse and worse as of late and now it seems to be happening about every two hours.

My computer stops whatever it's doing, the sound stutters and the screen freezes then after a few seconds I get this: http://i.imgur.com/hWbUL4K.jpg

Now, I've been dealing with this forever and this is far from the first time I've gotten fed up with it. I've looked it up multiple times, updated all of my drivers, and even flashed my motherboard (which after reading about the dangers of doing so scared the shit out of me but I did so anyway). It might just be that I notice it more in this case because it's when I'm more focused, but it seems to take place more often when I'm playing graphics intensive games. (then again I'm failry sure that it may just be my noticing it more because then I'm more focused on the computer then if I'm just browsing the web")I'm completely at a loss as to how I go about stopping this.

I'm at the point where if I had to replace a piece of hardware I would be more than ready to do so. I've replaced my gtx 460 with a 7870 (not to solve the issue just to get a new gpu) and found that the problem has persisted through both of them so that definitely isn't the issue.

My specs are: http://i.imgur.com/gVQM28Q.png

if you need any more information to help me out I would love nothing more than to give it to you just tell me what you need. I know very little about computers, all I've learned is from Googling issues I've had, what piece of hardware I should buy, or how to do something that would increase my performance.

Since you're getting errors in memtest, you should start to identify which DIMM(s) are causing them.

Start testing a single stick at a time.

Also, do you know what your CPU core temps are while under load? Core Temp will give you temperatures.

Some of your problems could be attributed to overheating.

I'll check the temperatures right away. How do I "test a single stick at a time"? Sorry about asking a lot it's just that I barely fumbled my way through getting where I got.

Did you happen to boot up and use your computer with only 1 stick installed? Did you still have problems?

Your temps look fine.

I dont know how many sticks you have but:

Put 2 sticks back in dual channel and test. No errors then put all 4 back and retest.

I did each one individually, removing all of them first, then putting like the first one in the first slot, removing it, the second in the second slot, removing it, and so on. I have a total of 4 sticks and 4 slots. I ran a test 4 times, once for each stick.

I haven't been using the computer with only one or two sticks, I've been just doing the memtest then returned all of the sticks to my motherboard and rebooted.
