Over clock help

Hello! I have an i5-4690k which is currently running at the stock settings. I read about intel turbo app, is it a good app to use? as I have no idea how to overclock and would like to push a bit more out of my CPU. I have the latest BIOS on my gigabyte z97x-gaming 3 mobo and a cooler master hyper 212 evo which should provide me with sufficient cooling.
Any help is gratefully appreciated as I would like to get some more power out of this CPU.

This should work on my mother board also right? seeing as they are using the same BIOS
