Hello everyone. 2 days back all of a sudden my keyboard stopped working. I restarted my pc after re plugging and it gave me a warning "Over-current detected on usb device, motherboard will shut down in 15 secs"

So I disconnected everything, opened the case removed all USB connectors, case fans, front panel buttons, everything non mandatory. Still kept going. Mobo VGA Light is turning red on the process. (My gpu is Asus rog strix OC 3070 ti) (psu is seasonic 650w gold)

Than I took the pc to a repair shop thinking my mobo got broken, most probably one of the io usbs. But it worked perfectly fine there! The pc is working outside the house. It seems there is an issue with the house electricity. But electricians can not find anything and they couldnt fix it nor understand what is the problem. Did any of you encounter such thing? Or do you have any idea how to solve this? I am hopelessly looking for a Solution.

I am in Qatar atm and standart voltage is 240v here. I bought the pc parts in a 220v country if that matters. Electricians checked the actual output of voltage and the result is 247v if that is related.

Did the repair shop use your keyboard or one of their own?

Make and model keyboard?

Do other known working keyboards work on your pc?

Does your keyboard work on other known working pcs?

Determine if the problem follows the keyboard or stays with the pc.

At home:

How is the pc connected to power: any extension cords, power strips/bars, surge protectors etc.? What other devices, if any, share those connections?

Speakers, monitors, external drives, printers, etc..

Could be that there is problem with one of those devices and/or the connections involved between devices.

Uninstall all and determine if the keyboard problem continues.

If the problem is gone then methodically reinstall the devices one-by-one to determine if any single device causes the keyboard to fail again.

The thing with keyboard, pc is giving the same issue even without it connected. They did try with their keyboards.

The pc is not connected through extensions. I even tried after changin my power cable.

I tried the pc in my friends house and got the same error. Therefore I took it to another repair shop and they are saying that one time working at another location may be pure luck. The guy suspects the mobo deflection trying to identify the broken part at the moment (usbs, psu, mobo).

What was the outcome on this after? Having a similar issue.

The Mb was burned out. I have changed the mb and problem was solved. Changed the keyboard as well but the Electric that is on metal parts is still present. The TV has the same issue so i think its the flat itself. I think the Flat does not have proper grounding.

Thank you! I suspect the motherboard has also had it's day in my case, too.
