Over Heating of AMD FX 8150

I updated my System by replacing AMD Sempron 145 by a FX 8150 ( second Hand). Due to some circumstances I am using sempron heatsink to cool down AMD FX 8150. But by ony 30% of CPU usage the temperature rises up to 80°C.
At ideal use it is at 40°C. Is it the problem of processor or problem due to inappropriate cooling ?

95w is the highest listed for supported cpus for that board. That 8150(125w) is going to burn out the VRMs on your current board, unless you get a new mobo, or return the 8150 and get something like a 6120.
Even though the 8100 is listed, I'd take caution with doing so, as your current board has weak power delivery and the 8 core is going to place more strain on it than a 6 core would.

but do you think that by only 30% usage of CPU, it can get to such high temperature like 80°C ? And will antec a30 cooler be a good choice for AMD FX 8150 ?

Please check and post the make and model of your motherboard(it's usually printed on the surface).

I'm willing to bet your current board can't handle that cpu. The VRMs are going to burn out, and it won't just be an overheating issue - the board will die. Plus, using a cooler designed for a 45w cpu for a 125w? That's a significant jump. Assuming the cooler was properly mounted and everything, your current results are to be expected.

In short, you are now in need of a new cooler and motherboard... unless you can bring the cpu back and get a refund, in which case, it'd be better to just upgrade the whole platform.

I undervolted the cpu to 1.125V and underclocked to 2.8 GHz and disabled 4 cores and the CPU and VRM temperature is now stable. All this config really worked well. I am able to play fortnite in 34 fps in medium settings. AC III at 50fps average And I am happy. I have run my CPU like this until I buy a new mobo which will take around 6 months. Which mobo do you think will be good as well as cheap for running this processor ?
