[SOLVED] Overall loss of performance loss in certain games

a few weeks ago I noticed that my pc's overall performance has dropped drastically. i've tried many things like dusting out my pc, re plugging the gpu and ram, installing old nvidia drivers. nothing has worked. Pc Specs:

• Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro CMW16GX4M2C3000C15 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4
• Intel Core i7 8700K
• Corsair Hydro Series H100i Pro 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler
• ASRock Z370 Pro4 Motherboard
• Corsair CX750M 750W Power Supply
• MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Duke OC 11GB

wasnt downloading anything in the background, have any suggestions for programs to easily scan viruses?
