Hello im a bit puzzled. So i have a Alienware aroura r6 16gb. i just bougfht corsair x2 16gb sticks to upgrade to 32gb. However when i look at the speed it seem that its on 2133. WEhen i go to the bios to select the "Overclock" settings its greyed out and will no allow me to do so. My question is how do i get my memory to run faster than 2133 perhaps 2400 or 2800 Mhz and if or is it even possible to do so? Motherboard is IPKBL-SC 7HV66 thanbk you al for your help

Ram faster than 2133 is technically overclocked.
Some well binned ram will operate at higher speeds and still at stock voltage.
Was your original 16gb working at a higher speed?
You need to find out why the overclock setting is greyed out.
It's presence suggests that it is possible in some way. Perhaps you can do it via XMP.
Often pre-built units will have dumbed down bios so that users can't screw things up.

But, do not despair. Intel processors do not depend on ram speed for actual app performance.
There would be a benefit for the integrated graphics if that is what you use.

And... what is the exact part number of your ram?
Ram must be matched in a single kit to operate at specs.
Two identical part numbers are not matched and can cause issues.

If RAM is installed in slots a2-b2 all you need to do is enable XMP/D.O.C.P in BIOS.

What are the specs of your PC?

Dell Alienware Aurora r6

i7 7700k
Windows 10
Gtx 1070 (Stock) 2070 super (Current)

So I took out the ram (16gm) that was in the machine to replace its entirely with x2 16gb corsair vengeance 3200 sticks
