My system specs

Intel 2500k processor
MSI Z77a-G41 Motherboard

I been working all day on overclocking my computer. I have gotten it stable at 4.4ghz water cooled (temp of 60'c under max load for 1hr)

The problem I am having, is to overclock the processor I have to turn Power Technology on. When I do this the Vcore at idle shoots up to 1.33v then drops to 1.27v underload. The only way I can stop this from happening is to enable C1E support. The computer was stable with C1E support enabled but have read to disable it in different guides.

Does anyone have any suggestions or help? I am wondering if its just a motherboard limitation. I have not really been pleased with the MSI board at all. I have noticed the board can be extremely finicky at times.

Thanks guys in advance.

The program's I am using to test this are
CPU-Z
Prime95
Realtemp

Thats one of the limits to my bios it does not give me the option to set LLC. Sounds more or less like it is simply a limitation of the board.

Thanks for the help guys it sounds like its just a motherboard limitation. At the time I got the board it was all I could get and afford on short notice. My AMD system died in October and I had been wanting to upgrade to Intel. I went kinda cheap on the motherboard and spent my extra money on the processor. I went ahead and ordered a new Gigabyte motherboard that is rated pretty high by Tom's.
