Im trying to overclock my new pc, so far ive got to 4.3ghz, ive got it stable by running prime95, but the voltage is at 1.475V. If i run it lower then the computer crashes when running prime95, although it will run Windows etc.

This voltage seems too high for a moderate OC. Other people running similar overclock seem to be running around 1.35v. I want to go higher but because the voltage is so high I cant as things get a bit too hot.

I've heard the 6300 is OK and have seen people @5GHZ, i was only aiming for a small overclock of around 4.4GHZ.

Is it possible that my motherboard is the reason for the high voltage? Its an MSI 970a-G43, which apparently isnt very good for OCing
