overclock Biostar A68N-5000 mobo with build in amd

Can i overclock this mobo. it has On board AMD Fusion APU A4-5000 Quad-Core processor with
AMD Radeon HD8330 Graphics. Fanless design. Anyone has brought this motherboard. i has done some googling. and someone say this cant be overclock. it is true ?

Yes, you need a K version to overclock. Also, I wouldn't overclock without a fan.

k version ? sorry im still new in this. never overclock any pc before. fanless is no problem. i can try add external fan to it. sorry for asking

Firstly, you can't overclock your CPU. Only CPU models with a 'k' at the end are overclockable (e.g. A6 6400K).

The fan is probably not neccessary for your CPU as it doesn't generate much heat. However, for a CPU that was going to be overclocked it will produce a lot of heat so a fan will be needed.

The best way to determine if you can overclock is to go into your BIOS and see if your CPU multiplier is locked or not -- if you can change the values of the CPU multiplier then yes you can overclock.

Edit: Non K processors can sometimes be overclocked by changing the FSB/bus frequency as well.

thank you guys. I will check the bios if it support overclock. just want to know if this motherboard and cpu can be overclock or not.

Look up your motherboard model online and check to see the max FSB and DDR OC then adjust your settings accordingly.
