I am not sure, but what I can tell you is to get Prime95, CPU-Z, and Hardware Monitor, Haven Benchmark. Run Prime95 for 15min on "Small" before overclocking and see how your system preforms just to get a Controlled reading. After that slowly dial up your overclock leaving the voltage at STOCK. After you reach your CPU's max on stock voltage: IE:, a Core Fails, then...mind you - only after reading a manual OC guide, then you can dial up your overclock slowly again. This process should take a long while!!! Each time you boot into your OS after an interval OC of 5 or 1 (On safe side), run Prime95 for 15min-24hrs. I usually do 30min until I find a nice level and then run my long hr test. It took me a week to get 4.42GHz on an FX-8350. I could have gone faster, but I did not want to break a single part.

To answer your question, I do not know. I am sure it has been done. If you slowly dial up your OC you will find out safely. If you jump it up to 4.1 right out of the gate, you may have problems - you may get lucky.

Yes, you can. Just increase the multiplier and keep other settings at Auto.
